A recent sculpture I made to re-contextualize the idea of what an angel can be. Instead of the flawless, idealized figures made popular in recent times, I built a more mythological figure.    

I took a thrift store figurine and, by making a silicone mold, re-made the face in plaster. The wood is oak that I bleached white and the wings are made out of handmade kozo paper stretched over umbrella armature.
